Q:I also have a Schwinn Comp / Bowflex training system, purchased circa 2003. I cannot find a replacement cable, even on the fitnessrepairparts.com web site. The cable I need is the one that attaches to the rods. Some of the plastic that shields the cable has stripped off and I am concerned about the direct contact of the metal cable against the pulley. If I cannot find a replacement part (which may have to include the cable & pulley assembly system) is there a way I can add a plastic shield around the eroded part of the cable?
