What an amazing machine! I am a permanently disabled combat veteran with multiple injuries throughout my entire body. My body weight was getting out of control and my muscle build was deteriorating at an alarming rate. Between all the medications and the constant pain, I was spiraling down the rabbit hole. I got myself together and made a pact with my wife to not "give up" on our bodies just yet. I'm glad to say it's working! My weight is going down and my muscle structure is coming back to the form it was before I was injured! My wife is looking incredible and is now wearing clothes she hasn't worn in 7 years! My son is now joining in for a piece of the action as he is aspiring to be a soldier later this year. Thank you bowflex, they told me I was permanently disabled, you helped me become Enabled!

I wish I would have waited and gotten the Revolution Gym. I didn't realize how much space this really was going to take up. The constant changing of removing the seat or changing postitions of hand grips or the tension clamps between excercises gets annoying.

I use this gym 3 days on 1 day off. I do feel a slight difference so I am not entirely dissatisfied with it. I bought it for my son and he likes it. I am going to purchase more tension rods to see if that helps more with the workout feel.

Motivation is the key to success. With the bow flex you get that. Workout routines are very easy to read and use. The machine itself doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Great work!

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:

I was looking for something to replace my expensive gym membership that allowed me to perform general strength training and to supplement my other workout routines. I have had Bowflex machines before and found they were always a well rounded option to multiple pieces of equipment.

If you want to look like Mr. or Miss Universe, this is not the machine for you. Having said that, you will definitely gain muscle if you follow a strength program and stick to it. The Extreme 2SE makes that even easier, with some of the easiest transitions between exercises that I've ever seen in a Bowflex.

Do NOT buy this if you don't know how to stick to a program or are not able to motivate yourself to exercise. Having a machine 10 feet away from you will not help. You have to commit. If you CAN commit to a program, and are tired of gym memberships and all the stuff that comes with it, this is a great alternative.

When I was medically seperated from the military I was pending both shoulder and back surgery. I wasted money for a little over a year on a gym membership where I couldn't use a majority of the equipment. Since the purchase of the machine my shoulder is stronger then ever and I can still workout my back without a significant amount of pain. Switching from exercise to exercise has never been easier.
I cannot state how easy or difficult set up of the machine is since I used the setup purchase option and had a team come set it up.

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:

I use it for strength training. It looks good. Exercises are complicated since the DVD instructions show some exercises that barely bend the power rods which complicates determining what power rods to use for each exercise. This may require the additional power rods. I had the original bow flex with the bench and all exercises use almost the entire power rods. Also I could do more exercises on the old one.

Takes a few times to develop a workout and get to know pulley positions and set ups. Pulley positions vary due to body type short torso long legs etc... Great after you are familiar and allows different ways to do every exercise so you can fool muscle memory and have a better workout with variations that are endless. It kicks you hard in a great way. Love it!

What are the differences between the BOWFLEX XTREME 2 SE AND BOWFLEX BLAZE home gyms?
Asked on 3/25/2016 by ready to purchase from Uxbridge, Ontario

              1 answer

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

The main difference between the two home gyms is that the Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE home gym is an upright machine whereas the Bowflex Blaze is a bench-style machine. The footprint on the Xtreme 2 SE is smaller because of this, where as the footprint and space required is larger on the Blaze to accommodate the bench.

I am looking for the 70+ different workouts. in video form grouped by muscle group, no matter how hard I look i cant seem to find more than just a few exercises on this machine.

I figured that a DVD and workout guide would come with this machine.

can you provide me with a DVD in instructional from, preforming all possible workouts?

Hello Aaron. Our apologies but there is no instructional or workout DVD available for the Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE home gym. All the exercises for this machine are listed for you in the back of the owner's manual. A link to this manual has been provided for you below.

I have limited room in my home for a workout area/room. I do have a large deck that is covered with a roof, and closed in with netting to keep out bugs. So my question is, can this product be kept outside? It will not get wet, it would just be in colder temperatures during the winter. I live in NC, so not too cold though. Thx
