What an amazing machine! I am a permanently disabled combat veteran with multiple injuries throughout my entire body. My body weight was getting out of control and my muscle build was deteriorating at an alarming rate. Between all the medications and the constant pain, I was spiraling down the rabbit hole. I got myself together and made a pact with my wife to not "give up" on our bodies just yet. I'm glad to say it's working! My weight is going down and my muscle structure is coming back to the form it was before I was injured! My wife is looking incredible and is now wearing clothes she hasn't worn in 7 years! My son is now joining in for a piece of the action as he is aspiring to be a soldier later this year. Thank you bowflex, they told me I was permanently disabled, you helped me become Enabled!

I wish I would have waited and gotten the Revolution Gym. I didn't realize how much space this really was going to take up. The constant changing of removing the seat or changing postitions of hand grips or the tension clamps between excercises gets annoying.

I use this gym 3 days on 1 day off. I do feel a slight difference so I am not entirely dissatisfied with it. I bought it for my son and he likes it. I am going to purchase more tension rods to see if that helps more with the workout feel.

Purchased for vacation home. It gets used 3-4 times a week. It is easier to use than my older XTL machine. It has a very solid, well engineered feel. It is quiet and comfortable to use. Lack of folding makes for difficult storage. It provides limited range of motion on some exercises, such as shoulder press.

I don't have to drive 6 miles to the local gym and can workout any time that I desire without waiting for a machine etc.

          • Q:

The product spec says the machine is 4'10" L x 4'1" W while the workout area is 8' x 6'5". According to a previous Q/A the 6'5" measure is the needed space for the rods under load, what is the 8' for? What is the workout area for a non-leg exercise? Is there somewhere I can find a schematic with the dimensions of the machine at rest and while under load?

              A:

Hello, the 8 foot dimension is for the Lat Tower. Even if you are not doing leg exercises, you still need the 6'5" for the rods under load. Thank you.

          • Q:

I received a used unit from a family friend who passed away. The gentlemen who moved it mostly disassembled it; but they couldn't find a way to undo the cables. As the cables are somewhat knotted thanks to the move, it is looking very hard to assemble right now. Is there a way to "undo" the cables? I'd rather not "break" the locking ball if there is a trick I'm not seeing.
I have already downloaded the manual - I just need to untangle the cables, and undoing them seenms to be the easiest way.

Your specs says that it needs a floor space of 6'5" in the shorter dimension. Is that critical, or would it be practical to fit in a 6' wide space?

              A:

Hi Joe! Yes, the Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE does require the full 6.5 feet of workout space on the shorter dimension to allow full range of motion of the power rods.

I am fairly new to working out. How will I know the 70+ exercises I can perform with this machine?
            Asked on 4/13/2015 by Noel

            1 answer

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

Hi Noel! All of the available exercises for your Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE are listed for you at the back of the owner's manual. Please note that some of the 70 + exercises include variations of existing exercises, such as where you position the adjustable pulleys on the chest bar for example. Changing their position uses your muscles in different manners and thus slightly modifies the exercise itself.

My Grandson is 450lbs and according to the specs your machines will handle only 300lbs. Do you make a machine that will fit someone of this weight class? He needs weight loss and muscle tone, a machine would be great, stair stepper, or tread climber. But not if it is going to cave in under his weight. He is only 13yrs old. Can you help?

I am sorry but no. Nautilus doesn't manufacture any products whose maximum user weight limit exceeds 300 lbs.
