Xtreme 2 SE Biceps Curl Video
Hi, Tim Arndt here, BowFlex Personal Trainer. And we're here to demonstrate a proper biceps curl on the BowFlex Extreme 2 SE.
To setup the machine you can see we've gotten rid of the seat and we've also got the handles down here at the bottom on the pulleys.
Neil is going to demonstrate this exercise. One thing I want to point out here is we haven't moved this pulley and I'm going to show you why. Neil, go ahead and do the exercise. As you can see, he might bottom-out on this especially if you're taller.
Show them how high you can take it.
That's as far as it can go. One adjustment you can make if you're running into that problem. Go ahead and set this down. Move this pulley back one position, there. That's going to give you a greater range of motion.
As he sets this up, he's pointed his palms out and his elbow is pointed out, too.
From the side view you can see that Neil is standing tall and the only thing that's moving is his elbow joint. He doesn't let it move back and forth. One thing you want to watch out for is letting this cable pass your elbow. Show them how that's done. Don't let this get on the other side like that. You always want to keep it in front of it.
The other thing is, a lot of people will move their elbows back as they do this and then swing it forward.
So as he does this, his elbow stays in the same spot the whole time and it really isolates the biceps right there.
Another thing you can do to add variation is alternate it. One at a time. And you can even alternate it like this. Where they both move.
So those are some different variations and that's how you perform a proper biceps curl on the BowFlex Extreme 2 SE.
