Dumbbell Workout to Increase Strength in Your Shoulders
During almost any upper-body exercise, chances are your shoulders are getting used. Whether your goal is strength, size, or just better mobility, training our shoulders is pretty important. Shoulders are essential to stabilizing our other joints, as well as for optimal posture.
As a trainer, what I love about training shoulders is there are so many ways to do so! Our shoulder joint is what's called a "ball and socket joint" meaning it moves in almost all directions. Because of this, we can get really creative in how we work to improve strength, mobility, and muscle endurance.

Dumbbell Shoulder Workout:
Do each of these five exercises for 8-12 reps
- Tall kneeling shoulder press
- Iso-hold front raise
- Front raise & rotate
- Lateral raise & rotate
- Press, windmill & rotate
