Who doesn't want a pair of great-looking arms? As the weather gets warmer and sleeves get shorter, we'd all like our arms to look their best. Sun's out, "guns" out, right?
There are three basic muscle groups to consider when targeting the arms: Our shoulders, biceps and triceps. Walk into any gym and you are guaranteed to see a handful of men and women standing in front of mirrors performing an endless number of dumbbell and barbell biceps curls.
When you break a biceps curl down to its basic mechanics, it is a fairly simple movement involving elbow flexion. Yet, even given this lack of complexity, the vast majority of people perform this exercise ineffectively due to a variety of factors. Sure it is simple, but you still need to do it correctly.
